Firefighters in Reading, Massachusetts were called to rescue a family of three from a stuck elevator. Stuck in the elevator was 4-year-old Kaelyn Kerr, along with her mother and brother.
“As we approached the second floor the elevator stopped, we pressed every button known to man, nothing happened, we tried to push through the door and it was stopped,” Kaelyn’s mother Kristin Kerr said.
When firefighters arrived to the scene, they lowered a ladder into the elevator to help get them out, but Kaelyn was too frighten to climb up the ladder. This is when one of the firefighters asked what Kaelyn’s favorite movie was and then discovered it was the movie Frozen.
Although the firefighters knew little about the movie, they did know about the Oscar winning song “Let It Go.” One of the firefighter realized that he had the song on his phone, so he pulled it up, and started signing it to 4-year-old Kaeyln.
After hearing the song Kaelyn finally felt comfortable in climbing up the ladder and out from the elevator.
