KC Blues Rugby Team Goes To The Rooftop To Help Homeless
As the Kansas City Blues Rugby team off its 2014 season, they are partnering up with a local non-profit, River of Refuge, to help raise much needed funds for the working homeless.
There are MANY families right here in Kansas City who live a rootless existence in motels -- parents and children living for months, even years, at pay-by-the-week motels in Kansas City.
So to make difference, a group 15 KC Blues players are camping out in tents on a rooftop and are STAYING up there until they've helped raise $25,000 for River of Refuge to help open apartment units for our working homeless families.
Rain or shine, or whatever happens with our crazy weather, the Blues players are now camping out on the roof of the River of Refuge facility for as long as it takes until they meet their goal to help out those in need.
You can watch them on live on the webcam as they brave the elements until their $25,000 goal is met. Check it out at the website: www.rooftopblues.com.
The sooner they raise $25,000, the sooner they can descend their rooftop nest! Find out how you can help now here and follow the Blues team here & here.
