Local 4th grader could be the face of Google

Four grader, Colin Garner from Bonner Springs could be seeing his artwork on the front page of Google.

Google came to Delaware Elementary to award Colin as the state finalist for the art piece he created for Google’s “Google 4 Doodle” competition.

The piece is called the “Peanut Detector” Colin said, "Since some people are allergic to peanuts, my invention [his Google doodle] can make it so that people who are allergic, can eat peanuts safely”

If he ends up winning the competition, Colin will receive a $30,000 college scholarship. In addition to receiving a college scholarship, the winner will also get to visit the Google headquarters and get to help to the animation department bring his art to life.
