Things I Learned From Last Night's Golden Globes
I spent a good, solid 3 hours parked in front of the TV last night for the Golden Globes, and in an effort to not let my brain turn into mush (already more than it is), I took a few notes and learned a few important lessons.
1.) Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Kristin Wiig, and Will Ferrell are all pretty darn funny. We're lucky to have them around to keep our minds off of fiscal cliffs, Syrian conflicts, and guns in our schools. May they continue to stick around and be silly.
2.) Target's new commercials may include whispering, but I'm pretty sure someone's whispering in my ear every time I set foot in the door. "Tony, you need Ted on DVD! It's on sale for just $15.99 right now! Nevermind that it will be $9.99 in 2 months. Oh yes...and triscuits too! Stock up. And an economy size pack of paper towel! Nevermind that you've already been to Costco this week, it's on sale right now!" Yep. That darned whisper...it's why I can never get out of there without spending
$50.00 ...umm, $75.00 ... triple digits.
3.) If it looks like a dog, sounds like a dog, and smells like a dog, it's not a cat. (Didn't everyone else know that Jodie Foster has been "single" for like, EVER?)
Feel free to add yours below too. Now...bring on the Oscars and the Grammys!
