Do you ever sign off a work e-mail using a smiley face :) A new survey claims that the smiley, frowny emoticons are some of the most inappropriate things you can put in a work e-mail. I get that you shouldn't sign off with "xoxo", but is a smiley face really that bad?
Would you finish eating your taco, if you noticed the face of Jesus in the mix? An 80 year old Texas man couldn't. He wrapped his half-eaten taco and is saving it, I guess, until it starts to smell or he feels like a snack.
If your kid robbed a bank and didn't get caught, would you turn him in? A Massachusetts' man did. He was checking photos, online, of the state's most-wanted criminals and recoginized his 37 year daughter, who was accused ofrobbing 3 banks. He turned her in, then paid her bail after she was arrested. Do you suppose she thanked him for that?
Did you know you could get a DUI for drunk, river rafting? A guy in Alaska was floating drunk on his inflatable raft and arrested because his blood-alcohol level was .313. How much damage could a drunk on a raft really do?
Should you have to pay taxes on your gold medal? American Olympians do. They actually get taxed on the value of the medal itself plus taxed on the prize money, which is $25,000 for each gold medal. Most other countries don't tax their Olympians. What's fair? (That gold medal Michael Phelps is holding just cost him $8,986 in taxes)
Are some people just too dumb to date? A Tennessee guy smashed his girlfriend's computer because she had posted a photo of Mitt Romney on her Facebook page. He didn't recognize Mitt and thought she was having an affair with thehandsome stranger and he certainly didn't buy her story that Mitt was just some guy running for president. (If you're unsure, that's Romney on the right and the boyfriend on the left)
The Twilight lovers have split but now there's a custody fight over their dog Buster, that they adopted from a shelter. Who should keep the dog....the one who cheated, causing the breakup, or the wronged partner?
I don't get Grillz. When I had braces, I couldn't wait to get them off to show my pearly whites. Not Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte. He wanted to wear his blinged out retainer on the medal stand but the Olympic organizers told him they wouldn't give him his gold medal, if he did. So he waited until after the ceremony. Isn't the shiny gold thing in his hand enough?
Brotherly love. Cayden Long, a 6 year old Tennessee boy, has cerebral palsy and can't walk or talk but he's competed in several triathlons. His 9 year old brother Connor pushes him in a stroller for the run, pulls him on a raft during the swim and pulls him in a cart for the biking leg of the event. They're never first, but they finish. I say they're winners.
