Softball Player Goes Looking for a Ball...Ends Up Saving 62-Year-Old Man

A man in Logan, Utah named Bart Griffiths watched his buddy Grant crush a home run over the left field fence. Following the homer, Bart went looking for the ball and spotted a mobility scooter lying in an irrigation ditch.

Now, at first Bart just thought someone dumped their broken scooter there.  But when he walked over to check it out...he saw a man's BODY floating facedown in about six inches of water.

Bart assumed it was a DEAD body. Luckily, he'd gotten there just in time to prevent that, because when he flipped the guy over, he heard him say "I'm dying," and immediately called 911.

It turns out it was a 62-year-old man who'd accidentally driven his scooter into the ditch while he was DRUNK, then couldn't get back out. According to paramedics, he'd been there for up to 30 minutes and had signs of hypothermia.

In the end, Bart was a hero, all because he went looking for a softball.  And the man he rescued was treated at a nearby hospital ...then cited for public intoxication!
